As it stands, the only data that I currently have from 300 grain bullets in the 9,3x74R is from Hodgdon: H4831 61-67g up to 2128 fps H4350 58-62g up to 2210 fps H414 60-64g up to 2228 fps IMR4350 56-62.2g up to 2199 fps 760 60-64g up to 2228 fps IMR 4007 SSC 55-60.5g up to 2260 fps H380 53-57g up to 2120 fps I have IMR 4350 on hand, so will probably start there. Are there any other powders I should consider with this bullet weight? I have Nosler, Barnes, and Speer data (Nosler & Barnes for 286 gr bullets and Speer for 270 gr bullets) and these manuals also used IMR 4895, IMR 4064, IMR 4831, and RL 15 for their bullets. At those bullet weights, its seems only IMR 4064 might have an advantage over IMR 4350, however. My rifle for this is a custom Encore Single shot with a 26" barrell. As the data from Hodgdon was generated with a 24" barrell, I know that I can expect a few more fps from the longer tube (not much, I know, but a few more at least). Anyway, I also have IMR 4895 and IMR 4831 on hand - was just wondering if I should expect them to produce for me much more than IMR 4350. | ||
