No but I still have dies for the 6.5-.250. A fine rebore job for your worn out .250 Savage.

Scott, I started playing around with this cartridge shortly after I got my 6MM Remington reamer. There are several variations on this cartridge and one said to run a 6MM Rem. reamer into the barrel 0.200" short to create a sort of 6MM International. But the easy way to beat all the "custom" stuff was to use the .250 Savage case as a basis and gauge. "Wildcat Cartridges" from Wolfe Publishing has some information as does P.O. Ackley's "Handbook for Shooters and Reloaders". Failing this, let me know and I'll dig out my notes. This cartridge makes a great varmint round and I'm in the process of trying it out in a possible Hunter Benchrest rifle. Bill [This message has been edited by Bill Tompkins (edited 08-21-2001).]

Hi Power shooters are using it across the course currently. Could be because it is an excelent choice, could be because David Tubb has been playing with one

I read that article and its a great source of info. The main reason it looks interesting is that there would be a savings in powder compared to the .243 win or 6mm rem, yet you still get good velocities that out preform the 6mm br.

It is a decent round, but it sure is a good way to ruin a 250 Sav.....I consider the 250-3000 one of the great all time cartridges and preferably to any 6mm... ------------------
