I am doing a market research poll to see if there is significant interest from military collector/reloaders in reloading berdan primed brass.I have designed and built a simple, inexpensive hydraulic decapper and want to market it as a kit combined with a priming tool, primer pocket cleaner, crimp reamer and necessary shellholder for foreign brass, plus a full line of berdan primers. I also want to offer a line of FMJBT bullets in calibers: .264, .284, .310, .311, .312, .323 and .329. Any interest? If so please specify caliber. Comments appreciated. The caliber I would be interested in is the 5.7x28FN case. I understand that they are only produced in Berdan primed form. So far the only "available" cases would be range pickups, due to the regulated status of loaded rounds. This is for a wildcat project, not any attempt to recreate the armor piercing capability of the parent.

Bobster, I'm sure many of us would like to see the availability of the wide range of Berdan primers once again available in the U.S. The increase in milsurpers might justify the considerable investment that discouraged importers in the past. Berdan primers are a lot less hassel than many writers would have us believe. Cheers from Darkest California, Ross
