My father in law passed away and left me some firearms, hunting/fishing stuff, etc. etc., and a Lyman Spartan Press. I am very new to reloading and I have recently purchased a Lee 50th anniversary kit to begin reloading. I have been "studying" up on reloading before I begin and I have a question to ask...Will the Lee dies work in the Spartan? and are any modifications needed for any part of the Spartan to fit the Lee "stuff"? I have been lurking around on this site for quite a while and have learned a tremendous amount of information but, unless I have missed it, I haven't seen anything about my questions. Thanks in advance.

dies and presses have been standardized on 7/8"-14 threads forever....

Just goes to show how little I know. Definately a LOT of learning to do. thanks so much for the info and I am sure I will have a ton more questions in the future. But, as the saying goes, the only dumb question is the one not asked.
