Downloaded the QL Demo. Several times. It will not install on my machine. I keep getting an error message. Emailed NECONOS with the error message. No answer. I could keep following up, do a little hand holding and soul searching. But I think I'll quit, while I'm still ahead. No money out of my pocket. LFD suits me just fine.

This is not uncommon with free demos. I have the current full version of the program and it runs like a Swiss watch.

They are probably closed for the holidays. Suggest you call them at 707-747-0897 after Christmas and ask for Ed Dillon.

The program is well worthwhile.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago and put it down to the wonderful world of free downloadable junk. ISTR the demo runs in only one calibre - possibly .308.

Putting that aside, it is an excellent program and one I aspire to buying to overcome the shortcomings of various other, less featured, applications.

I have several programs for ballistic issues the best is QuickLoad. It works very well and there are a lot of people in Europe who work with QL. Anyhow, the external ballistic (called QuickTarged) is as limited as all the outer programs, even if QT has really some very nice and helpful features, like the targets with the direct wind and angel adjusting. In the transonic area of speed, the calculations are not very accurate, but this is a general problem for almost all programs.

You shout not judge a program because the free version on a server doesn't work well.

I bought my program direct from the person who developed it.
