Need to neck down about a thousand 6mm Remington cases to form 22/6mm Rem brass. Before when forming just a few cases used a Sinclair neck turning tool. A little too much work for a thousand cases.

Also need to form a lot of 6mm/06 Mashburn and 7mm/300 Wby. The 6mm/06 Mashburn will need neck reaming. Not sure about the 7mm/300 Wby. (Prairie dogs are getting tougher these days.)

Any ideas for neck reaming a lot of necked down brass ?

Hammer,

I have a doohickey thingie from Lee (sorry--I have no idea what they call it). It has a stem (this chucks up in a drill) and a shell holder that is threaded onto the stem. Insert case, turn the shellholder to tighen, and spin the case (slowly) while feeding/holding the neck turner in the other hand. I use a K&M but they are similarl to the Sinclair. This Lee thing used to be real inexpensive (mine is about 20 years old). I am also sure other manufacturer's make shellholders similar to the Lee. But for the life of me I can't think of them.

Somebody help us out here--will ya?

Sinclair offers the hex shaft universial driver with case head specific holders that will work in elect screwdriver or low speed drill...these speed up the reaming/turning a lot....use a GOOD lube....Imperial or the Mobil 1-STP homemade stuff to avoid overheating the cutter/mandrel.........I have a reamer but it is a case trimmer model and the only one I got really good results with was a reamer made for a fitted die to size/hold the case while the reamer was used and guided by the die....HTH..good luck and good shooting-loading!!
