Pictured above is a new wildcat I am designing. I call it the .270 Ribbed. When fired the ribs seal all gases forward of the case mouth and there is no leakage to the rear. Testing so far has shown a 200 fps increase in velocity over the .270 Win. using the same charge. You must use a full length die screwed out to size the neck to the first rib. So far accuracy seems pretty decent. I will print some targets on this site at a later date.

Turkey, I think your "ribs" are about as useful as the "belt" on belted cases...maybe more so. Where can I get a reamer for this cartridge?

This may be a good conversion for a shot out .308. Simply rechamber a .308 for your new 270 ribbed and I think the "ribs" would seal off any oversize in the barrel and keep pressure and velocity up there where it belongs.

Keep up the good deveolpment work! [Smile]

All of the other cartridges have been mixed and matched too death so much there are no more left to try. Might as well start borrowing profilactic designs..

I was hoping you guys would have fun with this one. That case was the result of being overly tired and not knowing enough to go to bed.

Merry Christmas everyone!! Nick
