I just loaded up some 7mm-08 with 140gr. TSX's over 41.5 gr. of Varget. I don't own a Chronny yet and was wondering if someone might be able to tell me what type of velocity I can expect to get out of my 20" BBL Model 7 with this load. Many Thanks, YB

I shoot a Rem 700 in 7mm08 and get 2840fps with the 140 TSX and 44.5 gr of Varget with CCI BR2 primers and Rem brass. I have a 20" varmint barrel. 120 TSX and 45.5 gr varget goes 3020 fps. The 140's worked great on deer last year and will use the 120's this year. Your starting load is fine but you can see I loading hotter but I have no pressure signs of any kind. Every chamber is a little different so work up slowly and you may get to where I am. I can go up 2 more grains before I see a little crater in a primer.

That load ran just over 2600 fps in my 20" M7 with a Hornady 139 gr SP. The velocity you are getting will vary some from this but it a coin toss which way or how much. ------------------------------------ The trouble with the Internet is that it's replacing masturbation as a leisure activity. ~Patrick Murray "Why shouldn`t truth be stranger then fiction?
