Hodgdon bought out IMR, but plans no changes to the IMR powder line which pleases me to no end. I reload for 11 different calibers and most of my best loads are with IMR powders. I dread the thought of having to accurize my rifles with new components. It took me years to get some of my best loads. Just leave well enough alone Hodgdon, please! Best wishes.

Steve,
I read somewhere that IMR powders are made in a plant in Canada. Do you know where it is, and if they sell those powders anywhere else under a different name?
Thanks,
JCN

I heard they may change IMR to the Hodgdon jar-type containers. That'd be fine with me; I hate getting that last bit of powder out of the IMR cans.

I think it is ironic that a company that started out as a supplier of surplus IMR powder, bought out IMR.

Now they can sell NEW IMR powder.

They can even MAKE powder now.

Yeah,

Dupont figured out there was more money in pantyhose than gunpowder.
