Have been thinking that the Barnes 110 bullet in the 270 Winchester would be an outstanding Antelope and Mule Deer load and wondered if some of you had field experience with this combination. Thanks Edward Lundberg

I have killed half a dozen deer with them. I have killed more with other calibers using Barnes bullets. The people I hunt with have killed almost 70 now using Barnes bullets. I cannot tell the difference in wound channels between .223 caliber Barnes killed deer and 300WM killed deer. They all look more or less the same and the just plain kill deer as well as can be done with any bullet today. The 110 .270 has gone through an extraordinary amount of bone for me and all were one shot kills. The 130 grain Barnes bullets are as good. I have tried the 80 grain .270 but did not have time to work up an accurate enough load to use one on deer. Pick one an go shoot stuff, it will work fine.
