Griff ... I have used the 4 station CH Tool & Die company Pistol Champ for 45 ACP and 44 magnum with excellent results. More recently I have bought on eBay, and refurbished, an original single station model as a portable press for forming 6.5x57 from used 30-06 brass with a form and trim die. The robust H configuration is well up to the job and new spares are still available. I have no doubt the three station version is capable of fulfilling your needs provided you form or resize etc on the centre position between the H pillars. Be sure to get firm price options for shipping from the prospective eBay sellers as these can be eye-watering.

The original C-H company has been out of business for many years (I think there is a successor company that makes specialty dies). But in its day, C-H was one of the reloading leaders. Almost anyone's press works just fine, and that is certainly true of C-H. Their "c" frame press was aluminum. I owned one as my primary loading press years ago, and picked more recently up one in a trade that is sitting on a shelf as a spare. Since the frame is aluminum, I would not use it for heavy forming/swaging operations. Their three station H press is a great production press.

Make sure that the press you are considering uses standard shell holders and not some early, proprietary variety. Here's the website of the current company: www.ch4d.com/ These presses are not mainstream these days. Most people have them from a nostalgic standpoint. Heavy suckers, too. ________________________ "Every country has the government it deserves." - Joseph de Maistre

I bought one of the one holers in 1956 when I was a junior in college. It's still serving me well after years of use. Next to the Corbin press made today, I think the one hole C-H is the best press made. Don

Apologize for delay in seeing this. The C-H Reloading Equipment is still being made and looks to be as high quality now as it was when introduced. The prices certainly indicate such!! Here's a company introduction from their homepage. Check out the 4-hole press, Wow! CH Tool & Die was founded in 1947 by Charles Heckman. For over 55 years CH has been manufacturing some of the highest quality firearm ammunition reloading tools available. Over the years, the original product list has grown from a single reloading press and a small collection of reloading dies to the complete line of reloading presses, accessories, and reloading dies that are available today. 4D Custom Die Co. was founded in 1985 by David Davison and Dawna Davison. Originally created to fill the void in the reloading industry for hard to find reloading dies, for 17 years 4D has been manufacturing high quality obsolete/wildcat reloading dies. The original caliber list of approximately 500 caliber's has grown to approximately 1,200 caliber's and we now offer dies for any cartridge. CH/4D was formed in 1990 when CH Tool & Die and 4D Custom Die Co. merged. This merger combined the standard caliber product line and 5 decades of industry experience from CH with the hard to find product list and short run production know how of 4D, to create what we believe is the highest quality line of reloading gear and to be found in the world today. I have no connection of any kind with this company. Don't own any of their equipment. When I was getting my first reloading gear, E-5's in the USAF didn't have much to spend. Don Boyd
