| FWIW . . . I don't use a SB die with my .300 Savage 99f.
Though I have a SB die for .223, I don't use it even with once-fired, really grungy(1) military 5.56 brass, some of which I'm pretty sure was fired in a SAW. I just use a regular die and trim to size. It chambers and fires just fine.
Suffice it to say, I'm not a big believer in SB dies.
(1) The brass came complete with strands of grass and silt in the bag. |
