cmfic1Dakota reloading info
Does anybody know of a website, where a guy can get some reloading info on the Dakota Magnums? as well as a link where you can compare them to other belted magnums?

So does Barnes. O/A, I find that ballistically the .300 Dakota is no great improvement over the .300 Win. Mag.

cmfic1Thanx guys. The Hodgdon page has nothing on the cals. I am looking for, and my Barnes book doesnt either. I guess I should state that I already have .280 Rem, 300 WM, 338 WM, .450 Marlin and a .416 Rem. Mag (that I am selling) and that I am looking at getting a rifle built in either a .375 Dakota, a .404 Dakota, or a .416 Dakota. But before doing so, I would like to have a good comparison between the three.
Thanx again guys.

fredj338As Vapo said, Hornady has data for the Dkaota rounds. I have been shooting a 7mm Dakota for a few years, they are a nice step up over the std. mags w/o going to a RUM or long belted mag. Of the 3 you are looking at, not sure what you want the round for, but I would go .416 Dakota.

elkhunterI picked out one of the fastest powders from a mid weight bullet for each caliber to give you an idea of what each is capable of. These are max loads. I am not going to list every load from each caliber. The Hornady book doesn't list a .404 Dakota. My typing sucks and i'm dislexic so make sure you check a loading manual before you actually load anything or risk blowing yourself up.
