Does anyone know where I can aquire some 7 X 64 Brenneke unprimed brass? I've found some Norma brass at a couple of sites, but $1 each is a little stiff. Isaiah 41:10

Huntingtons lists it for a little less than that.. http://huntingtons.com/cases_norma.html You can also get the S&B loaded ammo cheaper and reload it as a last resort. I have some, but haven't reloaded it yet, it's boxer primed. http://natchezss.com/ammo.cfm?contentID=productDetail&a...661&CFTOKEN=26325903 I also have a bunch of federal factory 160gr Nosler partitions that I shot and have been reloading. I used to use 280Rem brass to form 7x64. Works ok.

You might also consider RWS brass (also sold by HUntington). Sadly, it is not cheaper than the Norma, and it may well have less intenal capacity. But it is very sturdy brass, and may react better to being run at max loads than the Norma. Just a thought. Remington used to make 7x64 bulk brass, maybe you can locate a bag or two at a gun show?? - mike ********************* The rifle is a noble weapon... I bought some R-P 7X64 brass once...'cept it wasn't 7X64, it was 280 Rem headstamped as such. Result was every 3rd shot was a misfire because the headspace was out. And those that did fire developed an instant incipient casehead seperation. If you are not fussy about headstamps, take 30-06 once-fired brass, run it into a 7X64 FL die and fire-form either using a cast lead bullet jammed in the lands, in front of a few grains of a quick pistol powder, or go the Cream-o-Wheat route. Either way you wind up with a perfect 7X64 case. You can't fit a 7X64 case into a 30-06 chamber (headspace too long) and you can't fit a 30-06 in a 7X64 chamber (Neck too thick) If Chuck Norris dives into a swimming pool, he does not get wet.
