I'm not out of loaded ammo yet, but Swift must be making bullets one at a time, nowhere to be found.

This bullet in a .308 Winchester has been magic for wife and me, I HATE to change.

Worried about Barnes TSX not expanding enough; Northfork and Norma Oryx are an option, but BCs are lower. Thinking maybe a Nosler Partition.

I'm hoping Swift starts cranking out bullets again. I've seen 150 gr and 180 gr Aframes available, but not 165 grs.

If your rifle likes it, you won't go wrong with a Nosler Partition.

Not that I have experience with them in 30cal but Federal have in the past at least, made a 165gr nickel plated Trophy Bonded Tip bullet in 30cal. These TBT bullets are outstanding performers in my 7mm WSM with the front bonded lead portion mushrooming perfectly and the solid base section providing sure penetration. Better than NP in that they don't lose the lead.
Only problem is that they are showing as currently unavailable on the Federal website. There could well be stock around though.

Ive never had an issue with the Barnes TSX bullet not expanding but that may be the reason the TTSX bullet was brought out. The plastic tip acts as a wedge to promote expansion. I have used the 150 gr TTSX in the 308 on animals up to the elk of elk and they were very effective.I dont understand why you wouldnt try a box ??

The latest incarnation of the Speer grand slam is not as tough as a swift A-frame, but it is a very under rated bullet. Better accuracy than the old GS, not quite as robust, but still a solid performer. Anything a 308 is capable of killing, a GS will get it done.

I was just pinged recently from a couple of suppliers about a big dump of 180 gr & 200 gr. A-Frames. I'm thinking the 165's aren't far behind...

My go to bullet for big stuff & deer has been Nosler Accubonds. Killed a 800# Kudu (#2 handgun) at 201 with my 6.5/.284 XP handgun with a 130 AB, over a dozen deer at 500-550 yds with the same bullet, moose in AK & Utah with 260 AB in my .375/.284 XP, several black bears in WV from 150-265 yds with the .375 & .325WSM-200 AB.
These bullets work. Swifts are good, but their construction creates pressures over regular bullets.
My .416 Taylor Encore handgun went on the fritz after I killed an elephant with it. Sent to SSK. The frame was stretched with less than full loads.

I also prefer the Nosler partition and/or the newer Accubond..both work on game in 150 or 180 grs as both expand quick and penetrate very well indeed..I have shot both deer and elk with the 150 and 180s, with both calibers and PG in Africa in my 30-06 308 and 7x57 with equal results...You wont be disappointed.

My 308 really likes the 165gr Nosler partitions over W-760.

What kind of game are you intending to hunt? If simply whitetails then ANY bullet that shoots accurately will work -- with softer ones typically putting the deer on the ground quicker than harder ones.

If larger game (Elk? African?), then the Nosler Partition or Accubond will be a bit faster expanding but will exhibit adequate penetration for such larger game.

But more important than the bullet's construction is whether it hits where you aim.

I have started shooting the Hornady CX bullets and have had great luck with accuracy. So far, I have only used them on elk, but had great performance.

If your shooting Texas White tail, any cup and core bullet will work..Keep in mind that lightly constructed bullets are destructive and ruin meat, heavy bullets leave good blood trails and kill well enough for me anyway, It's a crap shoot..I like core lokts . WW power points and Hornady's Interlock work...South Texas deer are a much larger species than the rest of the states deer, but these bullets work on both..

I believe I have 2 full boxes of 165 gr .308 Swift A-Frames.

I will trade them or sell them for whatever price Swift lists for them.

Currently looking for 210 gr .338 Nosler Partions myself.

Not anxiously wanting to get rid of them but also happy for you to have them if that is what you really like and can’t find them. Just PM me.

I used 150 in my 308 and 140 sin my 7x57 but Siroccos not the A-frames as the Siracos were supposed to be softer and I was hunting Texas Hill country deer..They killed but they were too hard, but didn't waste much meat..I like the cup and core bullets for those small deer..Not even my computer can spell Sirracos???
