I need some help. I have some custom reloading dies which have a 1" thread. The problem is that my RCBS Rock Crusher is either 1 1/4" (with the adapter out) or 7/8" with the adapter.

I have been told that there is a RCBS adapter from the 1 1/4" male to a 1" female thread. Does anyone know if this is indeed true?

Thanks,
Todd

I dont know if they make a adapter or not but seens to me any good mechine shop should be able to turn you out one for fairly resonable price.

Ross,

Do you have a part number for the 1" female threaded adapter? Everyone I talk to around here looks at me like I'm crazy!

Thanks,
Todd

Todd. I'll go in tomorrow morning and inquire.
The Rock Crusher press, I thought was an Old Western Scrounger product. If your press has an inch and a quarter-12 thread, single start, I believe they have a part.
Looking at my A press bushing, it is a two start thread at the large diameter.
I'll be back with you tomorrow. (It is about 2100 hrs here now, 15 May.)

Todd,
The part number is a generic, 55005, and you need to specify the thread combination you need. The Rock Crusher is an Old Western Scrounger product that is not in the new web catalog, though they would likely have bushings.
The Orange Crusher is a Lyman tool, about which I do not know.
R.C.B.S.'s A-2 1 1/4" 18 to 1"-14 is $26.95.
The Rock Chucker, RS3, RS5 1 1/4-12 to 1'-14 is $17.95.
I didn't ask you what the screw pitches were that you needed.
I apologise for blurting out when I was not alert to your question, but maybe this will help. I enjoy going to R.C.B.S., I always come out feeling important.
I hope this helps.
Ross
