So can I expect any of my prefired (Hornet chamber) brass to survive if I anneal it before firing in a K Hornet chamber to get the new brass? LouisB | ||

LouisB: I don't see a problem with fireforming used brass. I would imagine that you might lose a few cases. With .22 Hornet brass as cheap as it is I would buy all new cases and fireform with a load that can be used for varmints. There is very little if any loss of accuracy. After fireforming then you can prep the formed cases with neck turning and flashhole deburring ect. If you are not into neck turning don't worry about it as the gain is very little and the necks are already pretty thin. Good luck.......Roy | |||

I lose about 3-4% of my hornets in fire-forming them into Ks -- not a problem. My rigfl;e is a Ruger 22 VHZ. 1B | |||
