Lately I have been hearing good comments about Redding dies. I mostly just purchased RCBS in the past just because they were there. In a hunting rifle that is capable of 3/4 to 1 1/2 moa would either company be a better choice? Reason I ask is I need to purchase 4 new sets soon for additional calibers.

Lately I have been buying Redding, mostly because they are making semi custom stuff I can't get from RCBS. I own many sets of each, both are good quality.

I won't say that RCBS dies are bad, but I think the Redding equivalent is just a bit higher quality. Having said that, the majority of dies from either maker should be capable of producing MOA loads...

Another vote for Redding dies - I prefer them over RCBS dies. I think the Redding dies are better engineered. Having said that RCBS dies will do the job. Both Redding & RCBS have pretty good customer service. I just ordered a case neck expander die from RCBS (for cast bullets), because Redding doesn't make one.

I tried a half dozen sets of Redding dies and they don't have a vent hole in the FL dies and will air dent case bodies. Also all of these dies were very rough on the inside and required polishing.

RCBS makes bushing dies now so there is no need to for me to look at them anylonger. I had to buy a new set of 270 WSM dies as the Redding were just intolerable with dented cases.

Redding, no problem in particular with RCBS, just better finished, etc.

I like the "thumb screw" adjustment on the Redding dies.

I wouldn't throw either one away to buy the other.

Both are good but last 3 sets I have bought are redding, they are just a little classier finish wise.

I always liked Redding dies, but now that they're making the S die, the NS bushing one it strictly no contest. It's as good a die as I've ever used. Just one mans opinion. Best wishes.

I may be dumb but I am trainable, haha. I just bought two sets of Redding's to try out. One for an incoming 7mm mag and one for my son's 06

Nothing wrong with either but the last three die sets I have bought are Redding. They seen to have an ever so slight edge in quality, IMHO.
