I have a Sako 75 stainless wood in 7 STW, I have had a hard time making a load that will shoot better then 1.25 moa, I found one the other day.

154 Hornandy with H1000, 1/4 minute in my gun, very impressive. The only problem was that I pulled the chronograph down before I had a chance to clock it.

This gun has been a pain in the but, the magazine does not allow for an OAL anywhere close to the rifling and it seemed like it wasn't going anywhere for a while.

Bill I'm glad you finally found a load that shoots accurately. Sometimes rifles just dont cooperate no matter what. Guess I'm just lucky my stw wasn't like that. All I had to do was go get a box of federal premium 160 grainers and end up with 3/4 in groups. And the box magazine isn't a problem either. Maybe because its a single shot. Its a ruger #1 Stainless. The only problem I had with it was tryng to find it. Went to 5 gun shops and ended up special ordering it. But in my opinion it was well worth it!
Good Luck Shooting!!!

There ia a lot to be said for a single shot.

I run into the magzine box limiting the OAL problem all to often, it seems a lot of these gusn with detachable mags don;t lend themselves to long OAL's, with a few exceptions of course.

I've had this problem with Abolts in 308, 280, 338 and 375, in addition to my Sako STW.

I have found the H-1000 is my best powder in the 7mm STW. My rifle barrel likes the 160 gr. Barnes XLC so well it scolds me if I try to shoot anything else through it. I had more work to get the 140 gr. bullet to group, but finally made it with RL-22. Good shooting.

My Sako shoots the 139 gr sst Hornady with RL-22 @ .75 moa and the 162gr spire points with H 1000 @ .5 moa

Been playing all summer and have not shot a group out of it over an inch. It also seems to like it when I load a little over max manual loads.

The H 1000 seems to have the advantage with heavier bullets in my gun.

Good Shooting
