Anyone shooting .308 bullets in their 7.65? I vaguely remember someone at the range doing something like that years ago, but I wasn't paying attention to his know it all blather. Maybe he did know it all! Mike Fire for Effect!!!!

While it's possible some moron is using .308 bullets, it's not necessary. My 09 shoots 1.5" groups at 200 yards with Hornady .303 150 grainers (.312"). flaco

Gollleeee I guess that's me. That's poetry, son. roger Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..

Although I don't load for it any more, I used to put the Sierra 150-grain Prohunters in my father's 1891 Argentine Mauser in front of 45 grains of IMR 4895. Even with its cut off barrel of ~23" it was a one-hole rifle at 100. There is a wide variation of groove diameters in the 7.65. I would suggest you shoot .311s or similar. They are still very available...

I still want to try some 308 bullets in my 303 Brit to see what happens. But it's quite true that 311 and 312 bullets are plentiful. It's just that I want to know! Regards 303Guy
