Hey guys, Okay....so a .284 is a bit big for a coyote load.....but sometimes I get sick of haulin around the .222 Sako with a heavy barrel and stock. I'm kinda new to reloading but it looks like I can get a 120 or possibly even a 100 grain 7mm bullet and load. Does anyone have any pet loads for a .284 Win or any idea what would work the best for blastin 'yotes with a small grain bullet? Any help would be appreciated.....

I like the TSX or Nosler Bal Tip in 120 grains over 57 grains of H4350 or 57.5 grains of IMR 4350. I think these are over max so work up! They fly about 3100 fps here in nebraska, and 3200 in new mexico. I have also loaded up some speer 110 grain TNT hp's, and that sounds like the bullet you should be looking for as far as coyotes are concerned.

Are you planning to save the pelts? If you are, those light fast 7mm bullets are going to turn your coyote into one big mess. "There are three kinds of people in the world.
