Is the expander ball on the RCBS 338-06 dies acceptable for expanding the necks on 30-06 brass?

Rob You shouldn't experience any problem as long as you lube the inside of the case neck.I use powdered graphite applied with a q-tip. You can also buy a tapered expander for most dies. This would be handy if you wanted to go from 30 to 35 cal in one step.

I believe that the RCBS .338-06 dies come standard with a tapered expander. At least my set of RCBS .338-06 dies came with a tapered expander.
