Removing glue from US Military bullets
I've got a bunch of US Military 5.56 bullets that have the black asphalt glue-like substance on them that I'd like to remove. Does anyone have any experience with this, and what sort of solvent should a person use. I've tried tumbling them in case-cleaning medium and that doesn't do anything to the glue. Any ideas are welcome.

I have been a toolmaker/injection mold maker for nearly 25 years I bet I have used enough thinner to float a ship throughout the years washing parts and machine tables

It just flat works better than anything we have ever tried.....and we have tried it all
