BJBDie parts?
I have some RCBS and Lyman dies that I need some small parts for. Decapping pins and a decapping rod and an expander. Lyman charges $9.00 shipping for any item. Is there any small company or individual who specializes in reloading equipment parts?
Thanks,
BJB

A while ago i need a thread insert to fit my RCBS Big Max thread to accept 1 inche diameter dies , the one supplied with the press took only the standard 7/8 size. I am in the U.K and could find no one here who carried the part, so one evening I rang Huntigtons in the U,.S, they told me to phone RCBS direct and speak to Jay Walkman, i did this but got only to speak to a colleague of his, told him what I wanted and what press it was for, he quoted the poart number to me and asked if i needed anything else whilst on the phoe to them.
I told them that was all i needed and offered to give them a credit card number for payment, they would not hear of it and less than 7 days later the part arrived with a "with compliments slip" that is quicker than i can get mail post items from my own country.
You can't beat service like that, certainly worth giving both makes a call direct

skb2706You will probably never....at least in this life time deal with a better customer service group than the people at RCBS. Parts, problems tech advise....you name. Over the many years I have been into handloading and can't even remember how many times they have 'fixed me up' with free parts and such.....why go else where.

whiplashDitto with what skb2706 said. RCBS has ALWAYS helped me with everything I needed. I have also needed small parts from time to time. I tell them what I need, and they have always sent me parts for free. I also called and asked for 1 decapping pin, they sent 5 for free. I just recently had a problem with a bent expander ball assembly. All I needed was the assembly rod. They sent the whole assembly in just a few days. Outstanding customer service! Always.

ricciardelliOver the past 40-some years I have required several new parts from RCBS, and there was NEVER a charge for the parts or the shipping.
As for things like decapping pins, your local dealer should have them...the jerk up here charges 35 cents each...

EwinAlas, Jay Postman passed on a couple of years ago, but the RCBS crew still carries that great customer-friendly attitude. And it's toll-free, too.
Cheers from Darkest California,
