Gentlemen,
In the process of getting familar with my RCBS PRO 2000 and have noticed some tendency of .45 ACP primer pocket fouling to lead to uneven primer seating. Curious if there is any way to address this issue without going to a single stage press for sizing/decapping, case cleaning, and then through the progressive. Would seem to negate a great deal of the speed advantage. Would appreciate your input. Regards, Matt.

I have never cleaned my primer pockets and have never had any trouble seating primers.

You are absolutely correct. I load with a Dillon. Primer pocket fouling is an issue. It is not an accuracy or reliability issue with your standard pistol loads for target shooting. If I am loading to protect my family, harvest a game animal, or shoot itty-bitty targets, I cut all primer pockets and dont load progressive.

Shoot safe,
Mike
