I've got a bunch of unfired LC match brass in 30-06 that i plan to use for my 25-06.I was tinkering today with some.I removed the spindle from my FL sizer die and ran the 30-06 thru it, then ran it back thru my neck size die.Brass looks great, and it seemed to go so much smoother than just running it thru the FL die.
1-is it safe to do this?
2-anyone else do this?

I think it should be OK. I do much the same thing with 338 Winchester brass in fireforming my 300 APEX. I personally think it is easier on the brass to do what you are doing.

I would suggest you measure the necks on the reformed brass. Depending on how tight a chamber you have you can run in to problems with neck thickness. Also military brass is usually thicker and has less volume than commercial brass. You may have to turn the necks and start out with lighter loads.
