Maybe I'm being cheap and unrealistic but . . .

I've got 100 new brass and a box of Speer 158 gr JHP bullets to fireform it with in the new Whelen. And I've got almost a full can of H335 on the shelf that I'm not loading anything else with. Any experienced loads out there for this combination? I hate to buy a new can of H4895 and burn up the best part of it fireforming brass.

The manuals list H335 for 180 gr rifle bullets but not for the lighter pistol bullets, maybe due to unreliable pressures with little bullets and lots of room in the case for the powder to slop around in?

Thanks. -WSJ

wsj,
Use the H335 180gr rifle load with a bit of filler material on top of the charge. It will be slow but safe and have enough pressure to form the cases with consistency.
