Does anyone have any load data for the Nozler E-tip in their 130Gr .270 bullet? I can't find any- anywhere, not even on the Nozler site. Thanks, Barry

In my box of 30 cal 180 grain E-Tips there is a note that says to start with Noslers minimum load for 30 caliber 180 grain bullets. I bought 3 boxes of one lot and one box of another lot. The three boxes all had notes in them. I would expect you could start with the minimum load for a 130 grain 270 (whatever you are shooting). -------------------- THANOS WAS RIGHT!

I agree w/R above. I loaded some 180 gr. .308" E-Tips in a 300 Win. Mag. for a Buddy of mine and the exact same note although for 30 caliber bullets was in his box, too.

I've played with the 150 and 180 etips in 30 cal. I didn't see much difference between the 150 etips and other long 150 bullets like the accubond or ballistic tip. But when it came to the 180 it DEFINATELY made more pressure than other bullets of the same wt. I'm thinking you won't see a big diff on that 130 grain 270 bullet but I'd probably start 1.5 grains below some of your other 130 data.

Barry, I didn't catch the Nosler warning about starting low so with my 7 stw I started with the same load as my bt load which is nosler's listed max, although it is under Hodgon's max by quite a bit if I remember. They shot a touch higher comparatively but no signs of pressure with the max listed load and the etip. I should have likely started lower and would recommend doing so like others said. On the bright side, they shot under an inch and 3 of 5 shots penetrated through a 3/8" steel gong at 350 yards. I recovered a pass through bullet that retained 81.8 grains out of 150. I am impressed so far.
