cigarhunter, I have the 3rd edition Vit reloading manual. It does not list a load for N560 and any of the bullets you mention at 180gr. For Sierra 190gr HPBT, the following loads are listed : Starting load : 66.4gr - 2688 FPS For the 180gr partition, the only loads shown use N160 and N165. Both max out slower than the 190gr / N560 max load shown above. Hope that's of some help.

Cigarhunter,I use the 200 GR.Sierra Game King with 75.5 Gr of N560.About 906 M/sec(2990 f/sec)messured from a 26" barrel.Winchester cases, hot load, estimated 58000+Psi.Works well but take care about the cases brand because the volume differs a lot,up to 4 Grains from brand to brand. Hugh. /

Hi again, according to Quickload the same amount of N560 should do well with the 180 Gr. Partitition.50767 Psi.3000 F/sec. Start at a lower rate. Hope this helps. Hugh.

While on the subject of N-560 powder, has anyone had any experience with it when used in a .378 Weatherby behind Sierra 300gr SPBT bullets? If not, can anyone give me an idea of what to expect and where to safely start the load? I'm almost as reluctant to start with too light as load as I am to start with a load too high.
