Working up a load for 180 Grain in the 308 Win.

So far, 44.0 of Varget/BR-2 with the Nosler 180 BT.

Anyone else have a good load?

I've often used the 180 Matchking in WCC or Lake City brass, Win LR primer and 42 of AA4064. Loaded to 2.825" (mag length).

Goes about 2475 - 2500 in my 1-10 twist M14s. Pleasant, accurate back to 600.

If you are shooting a bolt gun, 39.5 grains of IMR3031 works for me. It is a bit hot for my BLR, but my other rifles have no problems.

Thanks shooters, IMR 3031 is a good powder pick with the 180's. I noticed alot of target shooters use VARGET. Back years ago IMR 4064 was my pick, now there is just too many powders to chose from.
