Greetings all it has been far too long since I have been here. Good to see some of the familiar faces still here holding down the fort. Life got too damn busy and 13 years elapsed like a snap of the fingers. Not getting into all the shortages we all know what's up with that. I am lucky to be well stocked on everything as I remembered the last two shortages and stocked up once components became available again. Anyway I have finally been able to get my dirty paws on Vit N550 which I have been hoping to work with for a good while now. No problem for load data in 06 300 Win 260 Rem but nada zip zilch in 280 Rem. I mailed Vit about .280 Rem data for any of their powders and they have nothing as they have never worked with the .280 and that makes sense when the 7x64 is the common cartridge in this power range over that way. I am looking to load Barnes TTSX in the 140-150 grain range. I have not contacted Barnes as of yet and I don't think I will have much success if I do but who knows? Burn rate wise its in the ball park of H100V RL-19 ect but without published data I am not comfortable trying to extrapolate based on general burn rate from a chart. Have switched over all my hunting loads to Mono's over the last few years and performance and accuracy has been excellent very happy with both Barnes and Hornady in this regard. I was hoping that one of you knowledgeable and intrepid gentlemen has some experience with this combo and could point me in the general direction to start and I can take care of the rest. Thanks in advance H

Use any data for the 7x64 as a start off point.

Thanks Saeed I went and looked up the case specs and capacities. Very close within 2.7 grains and considering the thickness of European made brass versus domestic brass by Winchester or Remington which are thinner walled capacity is a wash and I can probably call them even. Max Pressure specs are the same for both via CIP and SAMMI. I never even thought to compare the two cartridges...... duh..... on my part
