Wow, really popular! Is it the bullet or the caliber that no one uses?

MOre than a few on AR shoot the 300 H&H, of which I am one...Its a new bullets and I doubt that anyone has used them as yet..

MOst old curmudgeons with the 300 H&H made up their minds long ago that the 180 and 200 gr Nosler partitions fill the bill and Im one of that group.

Howsomeever! tu2 I really like the old round nose Rem. Corelokt bullets, they just expand perfectly and at any velocity from 3200 to 1000 FPS, but not so the Spitser cordlokt, actually no other bullet will do that, none!

Rifle magazine did some extensive testing some years back and used every bullet you can imagine, and the old RN corelokt put them all to shame, including the super premiums, I still have that beautiful chart and did a lot of testing with that bullet..I shoot it in my .308, 30-06, 300 Win. mag, and 300 H&H, even tested it in my 30-30s (Its and 06 bullet) and it worked just perfectly on deer.....I buy them by the 500 batch, cheap form Midway, Grafs, etc.

Made quick range trip this am. Shot the 175 LRX. H4831 71-72 gr 71 just under inch. RL22 70-71 gr and 71 just under inch. All at 3.645 with lands at 3.70. Fed 215 and 1Fired FL SIZED FC NICKEL brass. All at 100 yards 55 degrees no wind. Pre 64 win. More work to do but positive start with new bullet.

Sounds like you got a shooter...

If one ever shoots a big bull elk or two with that 200 gr. Nosler or even a deer, he will be sold on that bullet for life, and the 180 isn't far behind. The Woodleigh is a real killer also, but a tad destructive sometimes and I like the meat. Love the 300 H&H and with proper hand loads it walks right behind the 300 Wby giving up a 100 FPS or less as a rule.

I use the 175grs LRX in the .308 Norma Mag in front off 74grs MRP - the Norma mag has nearly the same power like the old british Lady!
