The 225 grain Nosler Partition at 2880 fps in my 338 Win Mag. I have used it on wild hogs and elk with good success.
Have to admit, though, I have done some good long range shooting on deer, elk, and hogs using the Sierra 250 boat tail at 2780 fps out of the same gun.

308Sako ----- I have taken several Elk with the North Fork 240 grain bullet with my .340 Wby, and .338 Lapua. My grandson used the Lapua on his Elk, both bullet and boy impressed me greatly. He at 14 using the Lapua like a man, the bullet for performing flawlessly. Good shooting.

My favorite load for the 338 WM in my old M70 is the old Nosler 250 grain partition with 74.0 grains of Norma MRP. My best group (4 shot group) was .482 @ 200 yds. The gun consistently shoots them in a tight mouse face group. I have not tried Swift A-frames, Northforks or Woodleighs in this rifle as I am quite satisfied with the accuracy and performance from the ole Noslers. The bullet I pulled out of the bear (Aviator Pic) weighed 228 grains and had a beautiful mushroom. Shot the bear going away from me and the bullet recovered was located near his gallblader. The brown squared 9'8" to give you an idea of the length of penetration.
