Finally got my load 250 gr TTSX load done for my 375 H&H. This is for North America, in addition to my 300 gr TSX load.

My goal was 2,800 fps, but settled at 2,730 fps. I couldn't fit enough powder in and the accuracy went down pretty quick with more powder and longer COL.

Asquare brass, CCI #250 primers, 72 gr Norma 203B, 3.575". 25" Mauser M03 (light profile barrel).

I really like the 375 H&H with "light" bullets for North American Game. My preference is the 250 gr Sierra SBT for range and small elk. Where I hunt elk we are limited to "spike" elk and need to have been lucky to draw a "permit" bull tag. That happens about once every ten years. when it does and I'm after some big 6 pt I switch out the Sierras for BBCs. with either 250 gr bullet the load is 75 gr IMR 4064, chron'd at 2800 fps (24" barrel).

Austin Hunter,
Do you know what trajectories this load gives you if you were sighted in for, say, 200 yds ?
Cheers

My 375H&H MKX loved the 260 Nosler Accubond and RL15. Velocity just about the same as you are getting with your TTSX

As usual just my $.02

This is what I used on a couple of brown bears although my charges of 4064 and RL15 were (are ) a bit heavier.

Presently I use 77-78 gr RL15 with 250 Sierra and 250 Bitterroot Bonded Core for 2875-2925 fps.

Zeroed 3" high at 100 yards POI is 5" low at 300 and 14-15 low at 400...about like a 270-150 or 30/06-165 gr.

I have been loading the CEB 230gr ESP and recently switched to the CEB 235gr ER. I loved RL-15 until I managed to get some Viht N540.

I have been using Barnes load data from Reloading Manual #4 for the 235gr TSX FB. 78-79gr of RL-15 was my most accurate load. I did use a 27" drop tube to get the powder to settle and load that long damned bullet to magazine length. I used the tips too.

There are no 250gr TTSX in this manual, but for 235 and 270gr:
235 76gr@2864-83gr@3062
270 72gr@2636-78.5gr@2836

If you can get N540, its worth a try. I use 215Match primers and new Remington brass.

That's some good speed. How long are you seating? At max length for my magazine I can get about 74 gr of Norma 203B in the case. 78 gr would get me 2,900+ from my calcs. Maybe I need to try a shorter bullet, but the TTSX group so well!!!
