I have a plain ole Rem. 721 .300 HH and require the reloading data from Swifts reloading manual. I have 200grn. A Frames on hand with IMR 4831, IMR 4350 and RL22. Powder is still abit scarce for me so doing trial and error would cost me too much in powder. Appreciate the help.

And you think loads for someone else's rifles will work better in YOUR rifle than working up a load?

Just about any loading manual will give you information equally appropriate to your rifle, and their data has been pressure tested for safety.

Work up from 65 grains IMR 4831. My 721 with 220-grain Hornadys gets 2700 fps with that load.

200-grain SPEERs and 70 grains H4831SC was too hot. Same load with 180-grain Woodleighs and TSXs gets 2800 fps without getting "sticky". A long bullet like the A-Frame and Barnes data works well enough for me, and I am goosey about staying within safe limits.

AC is right (again).

grizz007,

the load given for the 300 wsm will work for a 300 hh ....????

if so

rl 19
62.8 grains 2635 fps max 67.5 grains 2855fps

imr 4831
62.8 grains 2637 fps max 67.5 grains 2846 fps

imr 4350
57.7 grains 2549 fps max 62.0 grains 2758 fps

again those datas are for 300 wsm not for 300hh.

I load 66.0grs. of H4831ssc with a 200gr. Nosler Partition bullet using CCI 250 primer in my Remington 721 300H&H. I would use the same load data for the Swift A-frame.

http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/

Hodgdon lists there own powders and since they are the distributors of IMR & Winchester powders, they list those too.

I stopped at 63.0 H4350 w/200 A Frame in my pre 64 300H&H. FYI my H manual list 64 gr max with 220-225 gr bullet. It is an old manual so work up as usual in this PC environment we live! Did seat it out to 3.55 or 0.02 off lands in this rifle.

You should give Swift a call and ask them. They are supposed to be coming out with the new reloading manual at the end of the month or beginning of June. They have shot around 40 new cartridges.
