Who has the best prices on new reloadable 7.62x39 brass?

I'm a cast bullet nut so I ain't interested in how cheap the loaded ammo is, just where I can get 2-300 cases at a decent price.

I usually get mine from Grafs (1-800-444-9360)for around $7.00 or $8.00 for 50 rnds, I get the Winchester brass and have had good luck with it.Part # WINU762X39
They usually have it in stock.

What cast bullet are you using? I just got a CZ carbine and have been thinking of using cast to. If I could get a 150 grain flat point gas check that will size to .312" or .313" that's what I'd like to use.

Thanks, Steve.

Z1R, I have a CZ coming. Right now I'm running around gathering up bits and pieces. I do have some suitable moulds on hand. The Lyman 311410 is a 130 RN PB that has worked well as a plinker in a couple of SKS. I also have a single cavity Lee C312-155-2R designed for the 7.62x39, a six hole Lee C309-113-F and a Lee C309-150-F. I also have the Lyman 170 FN .311 usually used in the .30-30, if I get desperate, and a six holer .314 90 grain WC that might make a decent squirrel load.

One of them oughta work. Which one I don't know yet. The C309-113-F was from a special order group buy and was cut oversized for just this kind of use.

I really dunno just where I am going with this until I get my hands on the rifle. Once I know the actual groove dimensions, things will be clearer. Cheap as the Lee single cavity moulds are, I'm willing to do a bit of lapping or nose modification if it seems indicated.

You can get reloadable ammunition for about the same price as empty brass. Lapua makes some nice stuff, that retails for around $.20 per round. That might be one good way to go.

z1r,
In my CZ carbine I am using Lyman 311359 with fairly decent accuracy at 100 yards(about 2"). I had a custom mold made for it and it shoots 1" to 1.5" at 100 yards. Be sure the bullet is large enough or the accuracy won't be there. The custom mold drops bullets .313" and I run them through a .314" sizer to just lube and apply gas check.-JDL
