My gosh, what a great diversity we do have among us. All kinds of great Bullets being tried out for the first time as well as the tried and true. And even the Beef Industry will be supported. beer

If I DO NOT "Forget"(aka old-timers), once Jan-Feb rolls around, I'll try to remember to start a thread on how all the New & Old Bullets did for us this year. If I forget, I'd sure appreciate it if one of you would start it off.

I see lots and LOTS of Cartridge/Bullet combos I've never tried that you all will be using. So it will be a learning experience for me to hear how they performed and where you hit the game. And for the ones I do have experience with, it will be nice to see if your on-game performance has been as good with them as mine was.

For example, rick mentioned using a 44cal 240gr XTP on Hogs at about 1900fps. I've not used one on Hogs, but I've Killed a good many Deer with them. None ever ran a step, but..., I never got an Exit with them - and I do love an Exit. The XTP did expand(normally to double the size), did keep the Lead with the Jacket and dropped them.

So, I will be surprised if he gets an Exit, but I feel sure he will get a clean Kill. thumb

The Paper Patched Bullets that BPSteve mentioned? I am a real Rookie when it comes to them. I do have Paul Mathews book The Paper Jacket and I've read all I can on them. But nothing beats first-hand experience from a guy using them that we can talk to.

And all you folks with the 6.5mm stuff are going to just keep it up telling me how great they are until I'm forced into trying one. Wink

Lots of Bullets on-hand? I really thought I had a bunch until I read what some of you all have stashed away. hillbilly No wonder the Military occasionally runs low on ammo. BOOM

Good Hunting and clean 1-shot Kills to all of you folks.
