Does anyone know what the black coating was on the Winchester Black Talon ammunition?

The Black Talon line of ammo, including the rifle ammo, was coated in Winchesters proprietary Lubalox coating. The later Rifle ammo under ther combined technology partnership was moly coated. Except for the Ballistic Silver Tip which was still coated with Lubalox.


The same bullet, sans coating, is still manufactured and sold as the Ranger Law Enforcement line.
