Have a pound of H1000 and a box of ballistic tips to burn for first time'n a batch of brass.
Could not find published data for the 300 H&H with this powder. Any ideas where to start?

You didn't mention the weight of the ballistic tips...

I'd start about about 68 to 70 grains and see what I got..

if you can find data for H 1000 and a 30/06 AI use to the highest numbers for a start.. or data for a 30/338, 308 Norma, or a 300 Win Mag, and start with the lowest charge listed, for the heaviest bullet that they have posted.. lighter bullets will be less pressure...

I looked in my reload data, and it was not listed, although 870 was listed and also RL 25, which might also be points of reference...

Sell the H-1000..You should be looking at IMR 4350..Or buy a 7mm Mag. for the H-1000 and IMR 4350 for H&H..
