Vintage Norma cylindrical special brass?

Today I picked up 3 boxes (58pcs) of vintage Norma special brass with 3006 head size.
I'm not too sure of how I am going to use it. I think it will be used to make 6mm rem.
Am I right? Or is this best used for some other purpose?

They are 60mm long on my caliper. I'll sit on them until something comes along. I have a cz 550 take off barrel in 9.3x62, they can rest in the same pile for someday.

If there is no caliber on the headstamp I would like to trade for them. I need them for 338-06 and I have some new 6mm Remington (Winchester brand) to trade if you are interested

It would be waste to cut them off for 6mm; yes, 400 Whelen is much better.
And depending on your chamber; the 9.3 is not the same as a 30-06 base OD. So it might buldge.
I now see you got rid of them.....

It isn't what I call useful and its worth more to sells than use, I prefer 06 brass for most work, and I use 9,3x62 brass for the 9.3x62, not 06 brass..I never understood that practice in that I can buy 9,3x62 brass for the same price or less than 30-06..That bulge in the 06 case gets you a bunch of over worked brass that lasts about 3 loadings in most the 93s Ive had..

I always prefer to use the official designated caliber brass for any gun, if there is an option..WE used 06 for the 35 and 40 Whelen, the 9.3x62, and others, but we no longer need to do that. PPU brass is the way to go in most cases..

Remington sold Cylinder brass with the 35 Whelen head stamp, there was no law that said a reloader had to use the brass when forming 35 Whelen cases. When forming necked up cases and improved shoulders and when increasing the diameter of the case body the parent 30/06 case can shorten .045"+ thousand from the end of the neck to the case head. Cylinder brass still shortens when formed.
The 30 Gibbs neck was .217 long, with cylinder brass the reloaded can add length to the neck.
