Gang,

Thanks for the help in my other thread.

With that, I was going through my dads old reloading stuff and stumbled across this stuff. Not sure if it's real reloading stuff, or stuff my dad made custom or what.....It was with his shell holders and other gun stuff. It was really rusty but I soaked them in vapo-rust and they came out pretty good.

Here are some pix.

These are the items in question:

Here's one of the round thingys, with Knurling:

Other side:

Next: this spins but the smaller one does not come off and seems to be cushioned:

One of the longer pieces one side:

Another round thingy (no knurling though) one side:

The longest piece:

Looks like these go together somehow, same knurling.....:

The last piece, this one is strange, has 3 set screws and the center pin is removable.....:

Back side:

On another note, This is my bench, a friend of mine was moving his MIL (mother in law) to their property and gave me this huge desk/bench. I've since sanded the top and put a clear on it (polysomethingorrather). I reinforced where I am going to mount my press with a 2X4 as you can see the screws I put in.

Where it mounts:

And my desk.....It's really heavy and I had to remove the doors to get it in the house. It had nothing but the top plywood where I wanted to mount the press so the 2X4 went in and it's screws to the frame of the desk and several screws through the top and the press pushes against the 2X4 for extra leverage and strength.

Thanks for looking.

Aaron

All the pictures before the press are what's called Arbor dies. You can use an Arbor press or mallet. There should be a rod to take the primer out and you seat the primer with hand primer. One die should be for neck sizing or FL sizing another die for seating the bullet. Here a picture of a Wilson seater

Wilson also made a FL sizer and they sold die blanks.

Thanks for the information.

I am probably missing some pieces but that's okay, something else to put in "dads" pile of goodies he gave me.

I would suggest that you make a plate by doubling some 1/2" plyboard, say 12'x12' square, and put it on the place where you intend to mount your press so it bridges the gap that I see. That will make it a lot sturdier.
I actually mount my presses on the plate and then mount the plate on my bench with carriage bolts and wing nuts so's I can remove it if I'd like.
