Don't have a Barnes book so I was curious what is the data from Barnes for this combo? If I remember right Barnes recommends .050 off the lands. I plan on using RL22 or IMR4350. Any pet loads and/or suggestions much apprieciated! Im using RP once fired and plan on just necksizing BTW. Thanks

al, strangly they barnes doesn't list imr 4350 with their 160 xlc -fb bullet. they do like re-22 start load is63.0 gr.for 2794 fps..........max load is68.0 for 3016 fps they used a remington case...federal GM 210 match primer, with a 24 inch barrel.data taken from their #3 reloading manual.checked their #2 manual they barnes didn''t use said imr 4350 there either. imr 4831 is a great 7mag powder their #3 manul startes at 60.0 grfor 2737fps.......max is65.0 gr.for 2965 fps. note i allways use a magnum primer,do a ladder test and start 3 grains back from max and increase by 1/2 grain at a time, this is safer and you''ll fine your barrels sweet-spot along the way! your rite about the .050 jump too the lands.load safe tripple check all data even mine by calling barnes at1-800-574-9200. regards jjmp

No love on the IMR-4350 eh? Darn Ive had this pipe dream of developing loads with just a few select powders but there goes that one. I have 160 factory loads that were fire formed to the rifle and was just getting ready to start loading this round. Already have the powders that I mention so I guess I'll start with the RL-22 and see what happens. Thank you for your post!
