When one buys the measure what comes in the package. The catalog makes it seem that one has to buy the small powder bar at additional cost. Does one get small and regular/large bar for the 55 bucks? LouisB Sure glad I can't test one of the RCBS progressives ( goofy primer strip and all) because they look like they are ergonomically correct which would simplifiy/speed loading. Course only after buying my 550 did I EVER run out of a box (500) of cast bullets in two calibers (or one for that matter) in one afternoons loading session

I may be wrong but I think you get both a small and large bar with the Dillion Powder measure.I know my uncle's came with 2 different bars.1 for most pistol loads the 2nd and larger bar for most standard Rifle and Mag. Pistol loads. They do have a "MAG BAR" for the Mag rifles like the the 300 Win mag and WSM's,this bar will fit the standard measure.Another Powder Measure is needed for the Ultra Mags. This is one Accurate Powder Measure.

I got two with mine. My 550 reloader is 9 or 10 years old and I love it. I have wore out the primer cup springs the primer setting stage. They sent me new ones. They told me that they last over 15,000 rounds if I remember right. And that depends on how hard the primer go in the primer pocket. That is the only "problem" I have had with the unit. (what happens is that to rotate the shell holder won't rotate unless you put a little pressure on the handle, because the primer cup is still in the hole. The machine is still usable) You can call Dillion and they will give you the spec of how much powder is held in the large bar and the magnum rifle bar They are very helpful. Hcliff
