I've always used 150g & 165g bullets in my 308 but I'm curious as to what kind of loads everyone has for 180 grain partition.

What kind of velocity your getting?

Don't, as the bullet doesn't perform well at .308 velocities. this is my opinion and based on personal experience on game. This means Bear (black), Moose, and Caribou. Stay with the 165 Partition and all you can shoot.

Well, maybe the .30-06 is better after all...

175gr or 180gr in a 1:10 24" barrel works for me.
I like Imr 4064 9 1/2 rem mag primers 2600f/s
Also used Imr 3031 or R15 always used mag primers moa 3 shot groups.

Thanks for the reply. I've been wanting to work up the 180 grain load for moose.

It's encouraging to see that 2600fps is actually atainable.
