Yup I LOVE 10x. I use 31.5 behind a 55gr NBT if I am shooting Noslers. My gun loves 32gr of RL-10X behind a 52gr Sierra MK. Keep in mind these are max loads. I would drop them down to about 29 and work your way up.

I think you will find 10x is a Great powder.

If you need more data let me know. I have loaded lots of bullets behind 10x in the 45-55gr weight range.

Waffen,

What speed are you recording with those loads? What length barrel?

I had the chronograph numbers the other day but I can't seem to find them. I know a fellow shooter "KingFisher" on these forums has the exact same rifle, and is shooting the exact same load, so hopefully he will chime in on the velocity.

I am shooting it out of a 26" barrel. The gun is a CZ 550 Varmint. I want to say 3650-3700FPS with 32gr but don't quote me on that.

Prior to trying Reloader 10x I had all but given up on my CZ. I tried IMR 4350, IMR 4895, IMR 4831, H380, Benchmark, BLC-2, Win 760, and Varget. I also tried just about every type of bullet in the 45-55gr range for .224

So far, this is what Waffen and I have come up with out of our CZ's.

All loads used Fed 210 Match primers w/ Norma brass.

52 gr. HPBT Matchking 30 gr. 10x - 3450 fps.
50 gr. Nosler BT 30 gr. 10x - 3450 fps.
53 gr. Barnes TSX 30 gr. 10x - 3450 fps.

On one of our more recent trips, this is what we came up with.

40 gr. Hornady V-Max, 33 gr. 10x - 3900 fps
40 gr. Nosler BT, 32 gr. 10x - 3850 fps
40 gr. Nosler BT, 33 gr. 10x - 3930 fps
52 gr. Sierra HPBT MK, 32 gr. 10x - 3700 fps.

Hope that helps. Some of these loads are a little uncharted, i.e. Alliant doesn't have data for them but we didn't have problems with them in either of our guns. Just make sure that you verify and work up when necessary.

RL 10 is similar to IMR 3031 but the grains are smaller. It gave good velocity with 40's in a 219I but less accuracy than 3031.

In the 308 with 150's RL 10 gives me over 2900 fps from a 22" tube and packs a little better than 3031 for that combo to my required COL of 2.8"

It's a little high temperature sensitive like most powders but not bad.
