does anyone have some load suggestions for a 257 Roberts imp. using 100 gre. barnes and powder that might be available. any help much appreciated.

Go to Barnes online if you don't have the Barnes Reloading Manual-get the load data for the 257 Roberts, pick a mid range loading and go up slowly in 0.5 gr. increments watching for pressure signs, or better yet, run them over your chronograph and when you begin to see diminishing returns on velocity with additional powder charge, you are at the top. STOP! Even if you don't think you are seeing pressure signs on the cases.

The load I use in my Cooper 257AI is as follows:

Remington Brass
CCI Bench Rest Primers
100gr Barnes X triple Shock bullet
49.0gr IMR 4350

I get sub moa performance out of this load - it is my favorite round for whitetail deer.
