Well I got my copy of quickload yesterday and I'm just starting up the learning curve. For a quick check agains't my measured velocity for the most part the calculation are within about 50fps. DARN CLOSE. Light years better than LOADTECH ever thought about being. What I have found is on a couple rifles that have larger freebore it shows high pressure way below where I currently load. Is there away to fool or adjust the program for a situation like a WBY with large freebore or a large bore I have with over a caliber of bullet jump. In playing adusting the OAL to allow for the jump gets me darn close. IE: if the jump is .5 inchs adding that to the OAL. What do you gusy do with something like a WBY? As usual just my $.02 Paul K

ramrod340, I have QL and the only way I can think of correcting for freebore is to inflate the OAL. But, it seems to me, you can only correct so much, because the bullet theoretically may not even seat in the case with extreme inflation of the OAL. Regards, AIU

Look this website over for a while. You may or may not find it interesting. http://www.the-long-family.com...%20barrel%20time.htm

I've just worked up slowly from what QL tells me in that case, I did so for a 300 Weatherby. Love shooting precision and long range. Big bores too! Recent college grad, started a company called MK Machining where I'm developing a bullpup rifle chassis system.

Holy Crap Batman heck of a site. Maybe in a month or two I'll know enough about Quickload to put it to use. Tyler as to starting low and working up I always do. However when each of my wildcats matchs within a few FPS of the forcast except for the one with a large bullet jump I was hoping to find a way to adjust. As the program currently works it says I'm over pressure at a load that won't even form a shoulder. Only difference between this and th eother is the amount of jump. I wish Mr. Brömel would issue data for the Trail Boss and IMR 4759 powders.

Mick: Thanks a bunch for the link & info. Maybe now!!! I've added the link to my "Favorites" & even copied some info to my reloading files.
