My buddy had a 1906 Swed Mauser he loaded for.

34.4gr of 3031 - 129 SP cannuler. Kinda look like Hornady SST very sharp neck to point angle.
and
34gr of 3031 - 140 Rn.

Wouldn't chamber in my Swed. thought they were too long, pulled one. I was the case that was too long.

Anyone load 3031 in the swed.

While 3031 powder can be used in the 6.5x55 I would much prefer a slower burning powder. I would prefer something like IMR 4350 or even IMR 4831 with the 140 gr bullets. Other powders in the same burning range as 4350 or 4831 would also deserve consideration

IMR3031 is far from the best powder in the 6.5 Swede if velocity is important. Slower powders like 4350, 760 and even 4831 work better with higher velocities and lower pressures. Not that you can’t use it, there are just better choices.

When you say the case is too long, do you mean the trim-to length, or the headspace?

I couldn't chamber a pulled empty case in my swed.

I ran a pulled empty round through my sizer and it chambers fine.

Sounds like his chamber is a whisker longer then your chamber at the shoulder.
