Hey guys have a friend who needs a shellholder for a 500 Jeffery to use with his Lee Auto Primer. Its the type that has the flat shell holder...any ideas on what to get that will work?

Get a ram priming tool or one of the tools that uses the standard shell holders for priming. You can prime almost anything with them. If that fails they can always be primed with an arbor press on a flat surface.

He said he had tried a #8 but it didn't seem exactly like a good fit...I was thinking the brass might be off a little and am not sure where he sourced it....thanks for replies

Buy a standard holder that fits his cases, and machine off the stem.

He may need to alter the angle of the hand tool itself, to allow the base to clear (I had to alter mine, to fit my RUM cases)

An RCBS universal hand priming tool will handle 500 Jeffery. No shell holder required! I like mine!
