WMR primers?

It seems that nearly every load recipe I see for big cartridges includes the Federal magnum rifle primer. When I went to get some for my .375 Ackley, all the man had were Winchester Magnum Rifle, of which I reluctantly purchased a carton.

Has anyone used this primer in cartridges of roughly similar capacity, and if so, did they perform OK?

Thanks.

The Winchester Magnum Rifle primers are reported to be the hottest on the market, right behind the Federal 215's. They should be fine. I use them for reduced loads. Work up as usual. E

Thanks, E. Just out of curiosity, why do you use them for reduced loads?

i've tried many different makes and it SEEMS to me the best consistancy I get (outside of BRs) is with WMR. I simply load them in everything now.

I use WMR's for my 300 RUM and 7mm Mag. I've tried CCI's and Federal's, but I get more consistant accuracy with the Winchester's in these loads.
